Design for products from the area of laboratory and medical devices are subjected to special requirements. Priority is the preservation of the health of the people, through a safe, reliable and intuitive usability which is preconditioned an intelligent design. The use in hospitals, laboratories or in the home provides a wide range of requirements for hygiene, ergonomics and suitability. Today, this has to be documented and tested objectively. Used materials and surfaces have to be of high quality, but also easily cleaned and sterilized.
The design for medical technology is the balance between legal needs, the basic function, an intuitive control logic and the particularly high standards of the user on a timeless but still special product design.
